Hi Suren - I like it - even with your Canon noise machine :) - in fact for me the 'grain' adds to the effect.

I reckon clone out the bright light above the head and leave it a bit more of a mystery where the light source is.

It has potential......agree with Rodney about the bright light above the head.

Is that panel in the umberella facing the camera of a light colour or has it blown out because of the torch light, if it is a light colour rotate the umberella so that panel is away from the camera and the stronger tones are facing camera.

THAT is aRt :)

seriously, i like the reworked version. Maybe try some diffusion or similiar in place of the grain?

Thanks for the comments boys.

I prefer the grainy version but here is a compromise with the diffusion....

1 Prefer the diffused version as the colours do appear to be more abstract (i.e. not so clearly defined)

2 Do not like the umbrella upside down, so prefer the original without the headlamp and diffused.

3 I feel that the photo with the grain is far to small to show the benefit. If it were blown up to life size then it may well work.
