I like photographing these plants. They look really good in colour as well (with their soft shades of various greens and strong lines along the leaves) but I really like converting them to monochrome - especially with this sort of strong processing and I hope you like it too. Again I've found one with some water drops in the large catching leaves which I also think processes well and adds to the look I was hoping for when I took the image.

Great work on the conversion, but I think overall the image would be better with a less pronounced vignette or maybe lose it altogether? The compo is not working for me for some reason, but I can't explain why!

I look at this pic and it reminds me very much of a litho. I actually like the vignette as it softens the cut-off points of the leaves. All-in-all a very nice photo that would look great printed large and framed.

I really like this shot. It's simple but with a very subtle complexity that retains the eye.

Did you get one - how do they look?

I got one of the coupons for a large print on Glass (I think it was about $250 or something for 800x800, 1200x800 or 1550x600). I've got till the end of the year to use it but I'll be interested to see how it turns out.

Has anyone had a print on glass? any tips or suggestions for what sort of images would work well for this sort of medium?

Nah but the real examples I've seen , igh contrast high saturation pictures looks good. You need a rather large wall for those sizes...
I would be uncomfortable waiting for months before I cashed in on that deal. What if the said company dissapears??

I'm not super worried - I took a look at the company before I ordered and they've been around for a number of years.

FYI: with one of the other deal of the day places (Scoopon or Cudo I think?) I'd bought a voucher (restaurant) and it closed down before I got to use it - I emailed the deal place and they refunded me with no drama's.
