Interesting that you see the left arm as the defining element. I see it in the right arm. It echoes the angle of the tree to the pole and ties the whole thing together for me.

I tried this, but couldn't get anything I was happy with. Mind you, I am using LR4 exclusively at the moment & SilverEfex is claiming my trial has expired even though I have a fully paid up copy. GRRR! so I am reduced to the inbuilt BW converters which, while OK, lack the power & versatility of the NIK offering. Blurring the background just made him look like he was the victim of a poor Cut-n-Paste job.
