Correcting tilt one image at a time...

You mean besides correcting the laws of physics?

I like it.....more isolation maybe?

Very interesting composition! That left arm is the key to the success of the image. It carrys more power than any other line of direction and seems to 'correct' the verticals. If I was writing a book on composition I would include this image.

...if he pushed a little harder it might straighten the horizon

BW all the way.... Blur that background a bit more as well.

But if he's trying to straighten the image elements from inside the image, wouldn't he better off pushing the telegraph pole, rather than the tree?

Interesting that you see the left arm as the defining element. I see it in the right arm. It echoes the angle of the tree to the pole and ties the whole thing together for me.

I tried this, but couldn't get anything I was happy with. Mind you, I am using LR4 exclusively at the moment & SilverEfex is claiming my trial has expired even though I have a fully paid up copy. GRRR! so I am reduced to the inbuilt BW converters which, while OK, lack the power & versatility of the NIK offering. Blurring the background just made him look like he was the victim of a poor Cut-n-Paste job.

Trial OnOne Focal Point, I have used this to selectively blurr backgrounds in the past, more to see if it can be done (which it can be!)

I see a slight problem here. But thanks for the tip. Will give it a go when the Beta runs out.

Actually I have focal point as a standalone program......It became a stand alone about 8-9months ago for me
