I had some free time this afternoon so I grabbed the D7000 and went out into the garden for a play.
Here are two I really like.

1. Agave

D7000 with 18-105 VR: 42mm @ 1/50, f/16, ISO2000

2. Reach for the sky

D7000 with 18-105 VR: 42mm @ 1/250, f/16, ISO100 (+ in-built flash)

Great subject and I like the sense of scale in the second image. This is one of those subjects that translates beautifully to black and white.

Agree about the second being the better shot, B&W as mentioned, would be well suited. Well seen.
