Just to make things more fun, I decided to walk around with a film camera as well. Previously when I was testing the waters, I was using a tripod and this time I upped the ante. No tripod, minimal metering (flashmeter or using the digital cam).

I must say it was quite liberating and allowed me to concentrate on what was around me and what I saw through the square.

All photos were taken using Kodak 400 Tri-X. Have I said how much I love this film?

Not sure what happened here (under exposed?) I'm not fussed as it gives it an old look to it that would be difficult to artificially replicate

The third is simply awesome, but the fourth loses a bit for me due to the blocked up shadows.

As a point of interest, can I suggest you post a series of shots that compare the M9 to the 'Blad using the same crop, allowing us to guess which is film and which is not.

Have you tried the Tri-X compact flash card reviewed by Gary or Leigh a few years ago?

No three is the pick for me too

#3 is really very fine - I wish I'd taken that one
