one was looking at the same headland but set back in the sand dunes.

Dave, I know exactly what you mean about the cropping of the top
wave. I didn't want too, but in the original (see below) there was a dirty
great heap of seaweed in the frame that I had to get rid of.. I should
have seen it when I took the pic!
Actually, why don't I just clone out the seaweed..

Sheepie, I just set the camera to Aperture priority F13, composed
on the tripod, and waited for a wave to roll in. I had a UV filter on, that's
all.

Nick, they were taken at Forresters Beach on the NSW Central Coast. Its a top beach, quite rugged. Good for surfing, fishing, walking, not for swimming though.
