O.K. I've stopped with the Inverting, Arhhhhhh great I hear you sigh

Now this is my first Extraction, so be easy on me, I was just experimenting & this popped out of my brain.

My little girl Morgan, Photographed over the Weekend, Extracted & put on my Dad's Pumkin Patch with a few adjustments in PSCS.

Bring it on, I've got a thick hide.

Mic - a great idea that I have done many times and yours looks charming - just one point - Morgan would look a lot better sat in the middle of that dark spot to the right

Chris, I tried that but it just looked a bit strange due to her feet, they looked like they were too cut off at that point so I tried to disguise them like they were up against something.

Thanks Geoff, I am pretty happy with it. it takes a bit of a steady hand & patience to do, but fun all the same

My new Digital Pen helps a lot with this sort of stuff.

Looks good Mic... Normally when superimposing two images we strive to make the scale and perspective match... In this case, the different scales work well and match well with the title... Nice work... Glad to see the Wacom is working for you - how about an equipment review when you've figured out its inner depths?

As the others have said, it's a pretty good attempt, Mic. I also agree with Chris about the dark portion. Not sure I understand why it looked strange, but perhaps you could burn the area behind where she is now, to lessen the brightness. Might also want to kill, desaturate, the green halo around her head.

But, if there isn't a green halo there, don't mind me. I just got new glasses today.

Chris & Kerry, do you mean the dark area just next to her or the one behind where the Pumkin Leaf comes grows from ( The bit of the dark hole ) ?

I thought you meant the one behind Chris, I think it might work better the one next to her. I'll try tonight and see.

Kerry, please don't tell me that ( Green Halo ) I can't see anything on both my home & work monitors.

There's a bit of a green halo happening here. Maybe a border of a few pixels of green?

It looks pretty good to me, except the trousers maybe look a bit out of place. Can you darken them / cast shadow on them? As they don't look quite right in the lighting in my eyes.

heh, sorry, no GCGs here. But I can't show you, cuz your pic doesn't show up now. It looked like leftover grass artifacts, like you plucked her out of a grassy background, using a large feathered edge on your extraction.

She was in a silver wheel barrow but there might be reflection off her from the surrounding grass, maybe ?

Oh well, it is my first so I'll only get better, I think.

heh, it's a cool monitor, refurb Nokia, 21" IIRC. The glasses make the difference. The optical place had a special sale for pixel peepers, so I ordered 2 pair.

Here's a crop of the area I was talking about. Dunno why, but I'm kind of sensitive to these types of artifacts, like purple fringing and CA, more so than noise, etc. I boosted saturation to make it easier to see.

Ahhhh Ha !

That will be where I must of overlapped with the History Brush, It didn't come up that noticeable with the Black & White background on my monitors.

I'll have to be more carefull.
