I went to the local botanic gardens while waiting for my daughter who was having a horse riding lesson. I quite liked the autumn colours on this shrub with the last of the afternoon sun providing the backlighting.

nioce, not much to add really. I like the sq. crop, in hindsight the only thing i would have done is removed that leaf casting a shadow, thus giving the viewer unadultered views of the beautiful autumn leaf.

+1 - although I do like that extra leaf (or rather the way the golden colours sit on it) - it's just the shadow

Geoff a beautiful photo just as it is.
Just one small point, this is not a backlit photo. Backlighting is when the light is behind the subject.

Chris.....it was back light although I can see why you make comment contrary to that. The shadow of the leaf mentioned conflicts with the direction of the light
