I don't get to play with the D200 much now-a-days, but when my wife was given tulips for mother's day, I had to have a go with the 55 3.5 macro that Cameron had arranged to be AI'ed. All hand held.

Comments and feedback appreciated. These have only had some exposure adjustment in ACR and a bit of cropping.

second one all the way, i feel a disconnect from the fact its a flower and i like it. The petal on the RHS is alittle off putting being OOF, however possibly a crop is needed.
The third is also nice, the soft pastels and texture of the petal gel well together

Ditto for the second one.

My other favourite is the fourth one. The tones are beautiful!

Patrick I would suggest you throw away your filum cameras and stick to the D200 - love the pics

Gerry, you may be right with the OOF petal on the right - I will have a look at a crop.



My favorite of these is the fourth, and I though I would give a B&W conversion a go. Thoughts?

IMO when taking macro pics it is best to leave them as colour unless they have clearly defined structures
