I am interested in peoples opinions on the following image - there are a number of aspects that bother me about the image which has caused me to scrap a number of other ones from this series.
I guess what I need is a fresh set of eyes over it since i have spent more than 5 minutes on it..

My first reaction is that it is overcooked...with a very over the top saturation and dynamic range.
There is heaps of potential, I would probably compress the dynamic range so it is closer to what you see with your eyes, and drop the saturation back a notch. Hopefully this will help with the yellow/orange artefact that your sun has become. I do love the reflections and the epic sky!

Great image!
I think the grass on the right just needs to be toned back a little - it catches your eye too quickly for some reason.
Other than that, I like the dynamic range in the rest of the image

I agree with the grass being a little bright and the horizon looks a bit off, even though I know it is straight.

Overall the image has a nice feel to it, but I am thinking that perhaps a crop from the bottom to remove approx 1/3 of the image and creating a pano would work well. The downside is that the horizon will then be centered but rules are there to be broken!

This might also work if you hyper-crop (new word
) from the bottom, leaving the horizon around a 3rd of the way up from the bottom

cheers for the feedback, i will have another look at this image a few days to see if I still like it.
I will also re-bake it at a lower temperature to see what happens.

Sensational image. I really enjoy over saturating these landscapes, and IMHO, you've done very well.
