ya'all should have seen this spider that i battled with a stick, seriously it was huge.

anyway, the fungi was wonderful, different location and different techniques but all good fun, more tripod action and less flash, although I did resort back to the flash on a number of occasions, the whole idea of setting up with a tripod and doing 10 seconds exposures was very time consuming.

this appears to have a purple cast now that I have a look..






purple cast as well, i am thinking it is the LED lightning..



and for kicks and giggles there is more than fungi there..

#3 - I quite like this one - I'm not completely sold by the background but I still like it - the colours and warmth is nice with this one

#4 - I probably like this one the most - even with the purple - and you've got those fine haired ones in the moss as well - noice.... I reckon you could clone out the larger chunk of dirt off the top. I'm not so keen on the brighter white lines at the back (looks like you tried to burn them down already - they "almost" look like running water (waterfall) in the distance - perhaps if they were more streaky and blurred?)

I like the last best because it is different and the composition suits the the crop really well.

You buggers make these shots look easy!

#1 very nice DOF. I think the background is slightly distracting.

i think those whites are reflections off the wet soil and leaves, probably cloning them out might be a better option..

offending dirt clump healed.

i would have ran and screamed, but rodney was there so i held my sh$t together pictures? stuff that, if you saw the way this thing grabbed my stick i was not putting my lens 1/4 inch away from his hole... oh and the hole was size of my thumb

ya know what, i must be doing something right there, i actually took that image with every intention of cropping it exactly like that

I did adjust the colour balance, from memory I adjust all three colours to achieve what I thought was more natural, i can have a look later and advise.

I do need to calibrate my monitors though..
