The bang for buck 'Nifty Fifty' should be in everybodys kit bag in my opinion.

meh, the 50mm prime is over rated on DX i reckon its just not quite the right focal length, I actually found the 28mm 2.8 (on DX) was a really sweet prime length, just a shame the lens itself is crap.

I have the 50 1.8 but very very rarely use it, it was however the second lens i every owned I will crack it out and have a go, just for giggles

I actually haven't had one all that long. Both of these were from the D200, so are really PleasantJive SeventyFive I guess.

This one is 6 vertical images stitched using the free MS ICE program. the 'original' image is 13500 x 4170 pixels.

It's a fifty (but not 35mm), though not nifty

Greg - lots to see in the first image, my eye is wandering all over the frame (in a good way!), the mirrors/reflections adding to the complexity of the image. The second I would prefer the sitter to be looking straight ahead (from her seated position) so we see more of her profile or better still, to be looking directly at you.

Pirostitch - always love your view of everyday life.

Rodney - all great images with perfect eye contact (3rd excepted!) engaging the viewer. My pick of these is the second.
