Drove across the Hay Plains (and back) a few weeks ago. Time was at a premium but I did take a few photos during a rest stop.

Cotton bales, west of Hay, NSW:

Love the first shot of the cotton bales, but it slopes downhill to the right.

The truck would be better if you could get some detail out of the the cab interior, at the moment it is too dark.

Hi Ozi - I'm assuming in #1 you desat the sky and perhaps even boosted the bottom - it's an interesting effect but I'm not convinced - perhaps it needs less of the sky?

You may be right there! I hadn't noticed the slope.

I tried all sorts of port processing on this one. I can definitely pull detail out of the shadows with the EM-5 files.

Actually Rodney, with this shot I just used one of the fancy in-camera settings on the EM-5 and fired away. I can't even remember which one it was now. The whole scene was a bit surreal. In many trips across the Plains to Adelaide I have never seen cotton grown in this district before, so it was spectacular to see all the bright yellow round bales stacked up everywhere, ready to be collected. I'm guessing it's a case of having so much rain in recent years makes for ideal cotton growing conditions.
