Try as we might there are always times when we don't get the money shot.
I'm occasionally called upon to deliver the goods at home, at a moments notice, when... well... I'm in no fit state to hold a camera let alone focus it...
So this is one of my go to remedies... it's not OOF it's 'ART' !!!

Not really a image review... more a confession...

Works for me. And if I can't get an image white balanced then it becomes a B&W or sepia toned masterpiece.

OOF shots, add a bit of glamour glow and she'll be right :) just say it was deliberate, artistic license

Yep well... gotta keep shots like that somehow... in a few years time the grand kids will have less innocent and inviting tee shirts worn !!!
Thought others might like to get some ideas on ways to salvage important moments less well captured.

If a photo has personal significance, nothing else matters. Although, the average lay person loves various PS effects so you can go to town on them if you feel that the OOF.

For the record, I have exactly the same picture with cupcakes also out of focus!!!

There is some merit to using the P mode with full auto with family events. Just need to remember to flick the AF/MF switch please.
