Met up with BobG and Slider last night to grab a couple of shots of the moonrise.

One before moonrise.

I like them all, but I prefer that
watery moon on the 3rd.

Hi Craig - #2 - however it feels a little cramped at the bottom and I think I would have liked to have seen a little more of the reflection - a lower perspective perhaps to bring the wreck and moon/horizon closer together?

Don't think I could have said any better. The image has a lovely simplicity and linearity that makes it easy to appreciate.

I'm pretty sure those horizons are 0.000000000000001 degrees off level. :biglaugh:

Nice shots, btw - my favourite is the first.

Cheers

last one for the win.

this thing with mooning, is that when its real like this it usually looks over cooked. I would even consider just enlarging the moon (locally) in the last one just a fraction...

Looking good there Craig. #1 and #3 are standouts for me. Love the colours in all of these

I have been thinking about cutting in a moon with features when I get time and if conditions are right at the next full moon I will go back and try a couple of different compositions.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
