An Iris. Natural daylight from left and bounced back from the right with a reflector.

Beautifully done. A lovely fine art work. Also a fine example of what can be achieved using natural light and a single reflector....a secret of the masters. The only negative to my eye is the image seems slightly off balance/awkward in the picture space. It needs about 15% more black space on the right hand side...a little trimmed from the left hand side and about 8% trimmed off the top of the image. I've just done this Photoshop and the image sits better and seems easier to look at. But then that's just my personal taste and I'll be looking forward to comments from others.

Here is another flower, this time a Lilly. Both images were taken using the D700 and 105 micro.

I love the composition of the second, but the lighting seems just a little flat.

The first photo is simply superb! The problem
with the second is that there are no contrasting
colours so next to the first one it would appear
lacking, when in fact is is also a very good photo
in ists own right. I find red colours difficult to
photograph and compimentary reds even more so.

Try adjusting the colours vibrancy or perhaps the
aperture in Camera Raw and see if there is a
noticeable improvement.

Would have had more impact if you broke the back leaves off. However, technically, it's beautifully done and sharp as a tack.
