Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Storm FrontWe missed the bulk of the rain from the storm front which came through yesterday but had a pretty good view of it as it passed by. This shot was taken from the 'Rotary Lookout' on Tamborine Mountain on my way home from work.
and a stitch job of three images giving a wider view. Fuji X-Pro1 | X-E1 | X-T1 | XF14 | XF23 | XF27 | XF35 | XF56 | XF60 | XF10-24 | XF18-55 | XF55-200 | MCEX-11

Re: Storm FrontThe first image is my choice between the two. I love the depth and texture of those clouds, it is lessened by then extra elements in the 2nd image, and the exposure has been tuned for those trees in the foreground, detracting from the clouds.

Re: Storm FrontGeoff
Like Cameron I think #1 is the better image since it'a all about the clouds. The size as posted here does a disservice as wel. Printed large that should be mounted and hung. Peter

Re: Storm FrontNow that I am home...with a freshly calibrated screen....that first image looks even better!

Re: Storm FrontThanks guys. Both of these were processed on my crappy, uncalibrated work computer. Looking at them again on my calibrated monitor, both images look a little on the warm side. I shall have to revisit.

Re: Storm FrontI like the first, it reminds me of some of the stuff from Murray Fredericks site (see other thread), at first i did not like the small amount of land in comparison to the sky, however it has grown on me and I like it as it is.
The images are warm, not excessively though imo. gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Storm FrontI am with the pack, on this one. The first one
is the best of the two and it would look magnificent on a large print on a wall.
