Storm Front

We missed the bulk of the rain from the storm front which came through yesterday but had a pretty good view of it as it passed by. This shot was taken from the 'Rotary Lookout' on Tamborine Mountain on my way home from work.

and a stitch job of three images giving a wider view.

The first image is my choice between the two. I love the depth and texture of those clouds, it is lessened by then extra elements in the 2nd image, and the exposure has been tuned for those trees in the foreground, detracting from the clouds.

Geoff

Like Cameron I think #1 is the better image since it'a all about the clouds. The size as posted here does a disservice as wel. Printed large that should be mounted and hung.

Now that I am home...with a freshly calibrated screen....that first image looks even better!

Thanks guys. Both of these were processed on my crappy, uncalibrated work computer. Looking at them again on my calibrated monitor, both images look a little on the warm side. I shall have to revisit.

I like the first, it reminds me of some of the stuff from Murray Fredericks site (see other thread), at first i did not like the small amount of land in comparison to the sky, however it has grown on me and I like it as it is.

The images are warm, not excessively though imo.

I am with the pack, on this one. The first one
is the best of the two and it would look magnificent
on a large print on a wall.
