Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

We spent much of last week at the Hunter Valley, enjoying the warmth. Here are some for feedback. The first are three versions of a theme - the first morning presented fantastic golden colours through the early morning mist. Apparently I missed much of it, but dragged the camera to the local dam/lake/pond. The B&W doesn't do the scene justice, in retrospect, and I look forward to seeing the colour versions in a few days time. Keen on preferences of these three. These are all crops. Not a lot of post processing has been done to them otherwise. I find the lean of the chair now annoying, but I don't think I would have been able to straighten it. These two shots illustrate the immensely boring skies we had during the week. I think I would have liked a red or yellow filter for this shot.
Regards, Patrick

The first one and second last for me. Nice photographs, but I wonder if colour wouldn't have been more appropriate?

I like the ones looking out across the lake the chair looks placed though rather than a part of the scene.
Beautiful tones.

This is a more considered crop of the third photo. I think it is my preference of the 'chair' shot. We arrived on Tuesday and I saw the chair placed there. On Wednesday morning, with the mist, I raced with the 4x5 camera hoping the chair was still there. It was.

Patrick. #1 is the better chair image for me (go figure). Somehow the left facing chair feels better to me and I like the line of ducks better in that shot. The last one is pretty good too - you're doing some great black and whites with that fillum stuff

I also like this one much better - i actually like the hint of those ducks which only becomes apparent upon a closer inspection, these then act as a great anchor point. I would not change a thing about this image.
