Very nice. If you're into masking in Photoshop, I wonder whether it might be improved by having the background a bit more out of focus.

What a superb photograph! High technical quality and brilliantly handled subject matter. This image just jumped off my monitor and into my heart. This is why we do this stuff! Oh...and what a great example of the power of colour! Get this into a competition. Yellow Pages Cover competition for a start.

Sensational, the junk really pops. Agree that a slightly blurred b/g could improve.

The lighting on those sails are to die for.

really does jump out at you doesn't it !! I actually like the background that sharp, sort of juxtaposition of (sort of) old and new, but I would think of more of a square crop and crop out the high rise building with the yellow sign, really nice shot!!

Awesome Trevor. Probably the finest image I've seen from you and you've posted some beauties.

Thanks for the critiques.
We were really lucky with the weather in HK. Only one humid and hazy day, the rest were beautiful.
This image was taken just on dusk. The remaining daylight is coming from the right rear of the photo - you can see some of it reflected in the buildings and the neon signs are just lighting up. It's that rear lighting that has illuminated the sails so wonderfully.
We took a trip around the harbour on this boat. You can relax with a cool beverage whilst checking out the superb harbour.

+1
the only thing I could suggest is a bit more space on the right side, but hey its splitting hairs.
