I think I like the first two best. If you could be bothered with the first one you could replace the rather blown background with elements of the fourth image. Maybe just blend modes and a touch of masking. Might just work a bit better.

I love the colours and pattern of the second. The fourth shows how vast the ocean can be and the two souls in the water gives it a good sense of this.

The 4th is the one that immediately grabbed me. It's a very peaceful scene and love those pastelly blues. Would love for you to tell me what you see in #3.

The colour transition in #2 is a standout!

I agree with Chris, the 4th grabbed me - reminds me of some work by Murray Fredericks and, as Wayne said, the two bodies in that body give it scale (trust me, I do have original thoughts of my own ).

I like the 4th one Matt, but I can't get past the horizon tilt, i found that really draws my eye and in this case detracts from the overall image.

Actually...it was very late and I was very tired, had a wine or 2 and posted a chicken because I liked the subject. But on reflection, the image has little going for it. Now you have inspired me to think about how we might be influenced by subject matter that appeals to us over the excellence of the image itself. For instance, a poor image of a naked female would probably attract more interest than an excellent image of a scotch collie dog.
Anyway...there might be an essay here. Thanks for making me look again.

And it's the 4th one that grabs me... and I'm all for NOT adjusting the horizon here... the world is not flat and the surfers are clearly travelling downhill !!!
If every shot has to have a level horizon shoot me now In this instance... in my opinion (and that is all it can be) the horizon here gives the image an important point of difference.
Some images need tilted horizons... soft focus... blown highlights (though maybe not all at once).... or maybe I've had one too many red tonight...
