Fuji XPRO with nikon lensesTook the camera for a walk and tried out a couple of Nikkor lenses. They semed to work fine.
Nikkor 300mm F4.5 lens on Fuji Xpro Nikkor 105mm F2.4 Nikkor 105mm through heavy clear plastic Nikkor 20mm F2.8 All in all the camera is very useable with the Nikon adapter though it is a little counter productive to buy a walkaround camera and then put big hunks of glass on it. Regards

You "could" always give all that Nikkor glass to me ... Mmm 20/2.8 D600, D7000, Nikon/Sigma/Tamron Lenses, Nikon Flashes, Sirui/Manfrotto/Benro Sticks

Re: Fuji XPRO with nikon lenses
how nice are the colours and contrast in this shot! was this straight off the bat Matt? That lens never ceases to amaze me. PS, did you do a aftermarket mod to gain a extra 0.1 stop? cause I want that too gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Fuji XPRO with nikon lensesMatt I take it that with the convertor you lose AF capability but do you still have metering? I assume the convertor is the Kippon one?
Not sure I'd plan to stick 300mm of glass on one if I end up heading the Fuji direction but kinda fun to know it's possible. Photography is not a crime, but perhaps my abuse of artistic license is?
Re: Fuji XPRO with nikon lensesI've given these images the usual 'tweak'. A tad of sharpness and a slight contrast boost, but I could have done this in camera and just as well.
The manual only focus works pretty well but I believe that with some of the other more expensive converters you do get auto focus. The camera, off course does the exposure automatically, and very well. It's actually quite tactile to use the manual focus lenses and I think with a bit of practice then it could be done very quickly and very accurately. Much to learn and practice with this rig but it's lots of fun. Regards
