Woke up this morning and the sun was shining, inviting me to go and take some photos....so I did.
Below are 4 pics I liked from the 30odd I shot (unfortunately, I was limited on time).
Comments/critiques most welcomed....

G'day Dave,
Sorry, not much critique but wonered whether you were using a polariser, the last couple just seem to lack a little contrast (might be just me), easily pushed in PP, but just wondering... You faired better than I did at Organ Pipes park, I spent my time avoiding the Hawk, did you have any worries being swooped?
What time of the day were you there?

Hi Mudder
no, I didnt use a polariser. Perhaps I didnt bump the contrast up enough ?!?
Can't say I saw any hawks...which is disappointing. I would have loved the opportunity to snap some shots of him.
I was there mid morning, and I was the only person there. It seemed quite strange.

yes i also agree that your first 3 landscape shots do lack contrast.
i guess your limited time at organ pipes there wasn't much time to experiment with settings and angles.
maybe shoot with a smaller f/stop and higher iso with some gradient filters to hold out the sky and bring out the details in the rocks, just a thought. i should go some day it right next to where i work

G'day Dave,
The time I went there was early summer, maybe nesting season or something, also I was there really early and was also the only one there...
I spent the best part of an hour ducking! I had to fend him off using the camera still attached to the tripod! Mongrel even got me once... Ahhh well, it's all good. Did you notice the sign on the path on the walk down?
