Now i don't mind this - as Rodney has mentioned, mono (possibly nice and contrasty) would be a marked improvement for me, i think that would remove the instant recognition of teh subject and raise more questions in the viewer's eyes making them look for longer.

Fabulous. I prefer the colour version, but I'd crop it a bit more at the top and bottom. Just above the screw at the top right to get rid of the dark patch at the top left, and just below the slat at the bottom right to get rid of as much of the tiles as possible.

I'd happily hang that on my wall.
