So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Autumn in DCI was recently in Washington DC and got to experience a bit of Autumn (fall apparently!) colors. I didn't notice the figure is slightly blurred until I uploaded to flickr! It's so difficult to get good help that will keep still.
Re: Autumn in DCHi Suren - I'm not sold sorry - that light is really really bright - I like what it's done on the leaves of the tree but including the light itself makes it too dominant. I'm also not sure if this speaks Autumn to me - my initial reaction was it was the white balance that provided the colour feel and not the autumness

Re: Autumn in DCI am surprised that you have not "Suren-d" this image. The lamp dominates the image, detracting from the gentleman under the lamp post, who unfortunately has shifted during the exposure. The colours do look WB contrived as well.

Re: Autumn in DCimo, it has merit, however the lack of sharpness in the person kills it, I reckon you could selectively sharpen that area up that would go a long way to improving it. I do like the movement and the way the bright light draws your eye into that part of the image

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
