So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Still Life
Today's still life (click pic for larger image):
Yep, needs more contrast. Doubt you'd class it as Still Life either?
Then again I don't know what constitutes Still Life, just thought Still Life was all that arty farty stuff where you take a photo of forks under some sort of lighting that produces nice shadows, welding gear (like done here) or a horse saddle with stirrups on a bed of straw etc. Taking a photo of some flowers tends to me to come under Nature photography. trevor... i will be blatantly obvious and that's what i expect from people. i don't like it... and i say that because i know you can do a hell of a lot better.
If it was a noobie that posted... i'd say it was good and needed a little bit more contrast.. cheers http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.
