Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Interesting image....but, I'm having a problem with your signature/logo that takes up so much space and is distracting. I understand the need to protect images and make it difficult to copy or steal them but in the case of this image a quick crop and your sig is gone....so maybe play it down a little so we can see the image as it was meant to be seen.
As for the image....Excellent! Somehow , it looks like a graphical construction...it has those elements.

Thanks Matt, I will look at the watermark issue. I normally use one with a bit more opacity but alas I picked the wrong one when exporting from lightroom on this occasion. I started adding watermarks after I had an image 'stolen'.

The image is a bit too dark on my screen and
the signature needs to be moved someehere
more discreet because it is not the subject
and interferes in that position.

I agree with Matt. I could remove the imprimatur in about 30 seconds so it really is not necessary to have it in this position. A copyright imprimatur can be as low as 10% tint and around 6 point. It would be virtually unseen but under magnification it would most certainly be seen.

As to the image, I love it.

I am warming to it, i have had a number of looks at it to try and figure out what bugged me about it. For me, I reckon if you crop 20% off the right and bottom it would be a much better image, this would bring the frame into play in a more prominent way and provide a visual contrast within the frame that may hold the viewer for longer.

It goes without out staying the watermark is too in ya face. If you are concerned about unauthorised downloading, maybe consider the full image watermarks at a much lower opacity.

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
