... since I posted any images but seeing some of the photos others have posted I thought I'd start sharing some of my stuff a little more often and motivate myself to get out and shoot more (one of my new years resolutions).

My monitor hasn't been calibrated in a long long time so not sure if these are okay on a decent screen.

I'm liking those puddles - esp in the second :)

The second and last are perhaps a tiny touch warm but you may have wanted them that way

I am loving the bridge shot, the reflection is wonderful. The Luna park shot seems to be muted, were you after this deserted, seen better days feel?

No not really, but thanks for letting me know. Sounds like I really need to calibrate the screen.

I will double check on my calibrated screen at home, also you are not posting in AdobeRGB right?

The puddle images work for me too, well spotted.

I like the composition in the last too, not one I recall seeing before (but no doubt it has been done!).

Craig

I really like both composition and treatment for #1, but I find #2 just looks a little contrived - I think it's because in #1 the reflection feels like an extension of the bridge (closing a loop) whereas in #2 which has a much more striking (and non geoemtric) subject it looks like a relfection for it's own sake. Hope that makes sense

And I think they're all a touch warm too. This ia particularly noticeable in #3 (unless that was the look you were after ;-)

Welcome back Craig,

I like that muddy puddle picture!

Even #1 and #3 have mild casts although other people could confirm as monitor is ageing.
