This was going to be another entry for the three comp.... but rules state no more than two members can recognise who you are....

This might be a bit too over the top for some people... but hey... i like it :) It's amazing how difficult it is to take self portraits... takes a lot more time working out lighting/shadows/fstops etc etc...

Here's some more playing in the studio, this time with boot polish involved. I have been in a bit of a dark mood this evening and thought i would reflect this. I hope you enjoy.

Picture looks a little soft... but that's just the jpg conversion from a very large file.

Comments/critique/criticism appreciated and expected.

cheers

Can't get the pic to show up. Gives a file not found error. :(

Mark - you've never looked so good!

Interesting concept and I like the shots. How long did it take to get the boot polish off? (Did you use orange peel? That usually works a treat.)

Are triptychs allowed in the comp though??

Wives only enjoy the bruised and battered look if they're the ones who dished it out!

Enjoy your "Day at the Races". :D

I have edited the shot so that the center frame is mirrored... in the original the first and second frame were looking the same way.

Mark, I found these hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing upon seeing them. Hopefully you'll understand I'm not laughing AT you. :)

great shots.......maybe just a back light on the head to lift it out of the black hole, about 1/4 strength, so you can just see the hair line......

i'm not going to attempt doing this shot again... boot polish has a particular smell to it which is only just starting to leave my skin :)
