It was such a beautiful day today I felt the urge to go out on the water and take a few pix of the harbor from a different view .This been the first time on the water with my D70 I very quickly leant that their is no time to play with adjustments while been bounced about .With this in mind I took 175 pix in Raw (1 gig card)with camera set on Auto . Not having access to my laptop I used no1 daughter’s laptop and PP with Picasa 2 .Looks like TWO big no no’s in one day.

These would be greatly improved with a decent photo editing program...but they do lack punch. For the most part the light looks pretty harsh, so getting anything really vivid would have been challenging, and interesting shadows and textures difficult as well as the light is so harsh. They definitely tell the story of going down to the harbour. Really reminds me of Granville island here in Vancouver.

G'day,
Some interesting viewpoints, what time of the day were these taken (couldn't get the EXIF), Dooda was thinking what I was about the hard light... But especially like 8183842_e0ab72add4.jpg (looking into the pier) Great angle of an interesting subject...

Cheers.

I like the point of view of the first pic, the green Sydney Port's tug boat, and also the last one.
