I took this photograph during a studio lighting session at my
local photo club.

A one light exercise?
For me I would try to tone down the brighter area of the shirt and bring a little out of the shadows on the "youth's" left hand side

Thanks for the comments. Yes it was one light only.
I did not want to make it too bright.

This as much I can get from the raw file before the light part
of the photo becomes too bright.

I think that works a little better because you can see his left eye.

I have to admit that I like the first image more, but that dark eye is a problem....maybe a selective lighten?

Sorry, but I cannot get more detail of the dark side
of the photo. I got out as much as I could from the
raw file.
