This is a good set of photographs. I like best the last one
and the first.

Nice set and liking the narrative of each photo. It might just be the selection of the photos but from the four, I get a sense of a very laid back mood from the area.

#1 - A dialogue of generations, and the clothing contrasts say it all. Image composition nails it with the curve of the fence.

#2 - Nice narrative of the girls and the shop sign. Potentially presumptuous that they're black sheep, but who cares :) Did you wait for people to walk by or were they there and you got it within moments?

#3 - The weaker of the four for me but the timing and stare of the girl at the dog and her expression helps keep it interesting.

#4 - Lovely street portrait.

First and last are brilliant for very different reasons. #1 is a great "story" image and the composition with the bike and that sweeping curve is spot on. #4 is a great candid with willing subjects who make for a great happy snap in the GOOD meaning of the term :-)

Byron is well known for its 'surfer dude' and ' hippy' contingent so your comment in regard to the laid back mood is spot on.

All images were taken while just wandering around town. I did not sit and wait for people to come along to a location.

Thanks Peter. I would not describe the lat as a 'candid' as the guys actually asked me to take their photo and quite obviously posed, never the less I do like the vibe that the image portrays and is probably my favourite image from the session.

I am looking forward to doing more of this genre of photography. Inspiration has come from images posted by Piro and Rooz - thanks guys!

I must apologise for miss informing. I have just reviewed further images from the session and some of the shots were taken while I was waiting outside a shop where the wife was inside shopping!

So yes I did wait for people to enter the frame on occasions, others were from my wanderings.

I just love the first to bits. For me personally its what I have in my head about street photography. It's a narrative of people living their daily lives and creating something memorable from that simple ordinary moment.
