If you missed her I thought you might like to see some images.

There were quite a few shutterbugs along Milsons Pt last night.

The first shot is a five-image pano, shot at ISO 100 and F9 and 25 sec. Only a polariser involved otherwise.

The second shot is a single image again at iso 100, f9 and 36 sec exposure.

Whadya reckon?

The Pano is quite nice Victor although the Opera house might be a little close to the left edge. Can't really tell the QM2 is in it unless you know to look at the OTP in circular quay for it. I'd probably clone some water in over that dar area in the bottom right corner

I'm not really feeling the second - here the SOH is almost chopped off on the left and "looks" straight out of the frame - a bit more space on the left may help.

I also took some shots when the QM2 came into the harbour (very very early on Thur morning - I was on the deck of the bridge before 4AM - sigh... :( and took some shots at various places till sunrise) - I'll post some up when I'm done processing :)

Neither really nails the title for me.
While the QM2 is in frame, it is almost inconsequential for the photos. As Matt said on that other post: Where is the subject?
Rodney's photos of to QM2 work much better at conveying the QM2 in town. In particular the second of his series works for me

That said, the first works for me as a pano of the harbour. Perhaps just a little more room on either side.

I think slightly different framing would have been better for the second. A single step to the right then rotate the camera anticlockwise (left) on the tripod so there was more room to the left of to OH would have worked wonders for the shot I think. Also you could crop out most, but not all of the grass, and some of the RHS, though the above move would deal with some of that.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the suggestions.

I don't think I can match the energy of Rodney - up at 4.00am! I will look at his per the link provided by Mr Darcy (I looked around the Images site and did not see any, so posted hat I had done.

I have another straight shot pairing the OH and QM2. I did debate cropping the right hand side but left it to suggest the space the ship might fill if in motion. Again I probably cropped too hard on the left although I think my framing might have been an issue there.
