Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

After my little light painting exercise with some rocks at Turimetta beach some of the FOCUS crew were arriving for twilight and sunrise so I joined them for a pleasant morning of shooting and chatting followed by some nice breaky nearby. It's 6:30AM and about 20 minutes before sunrise so it's time for some long exposure seascapes - 16-35/4 at 19mm, 61 sec @ f/11 and ISO 100 Turimetta Myst  The seas this morning were really rough and the waves were relentlessly battering the coast Turimetta Churn  I headed back to the rocks where the seas were coming in a little higher and washing over the shelf under the rocks. I setup for some shots with the waves coming in under the rocks and... well.. was lucky my gear wasn't washed away... got the shot tho  This was the first time I've ever shot under base ISO (ISO 100) on this camera - however I needed a slower shutter, I was already using a CPL to cut a few stops of light and didn't have time to setup with an ND - 16-35/4 at 19mm, 0.6 sec @ f/11 and ISO 50 Seaswept  D600, D7000, Nikon/Sigma/Tamron Lenses, Nikon Flashes, Sirui/Manfrotto/Benro SticksRodney - My Photo BlogWant: Fast Wide (14|20|24)

Beautiful work. Take some props next time to give the images an 'eye hook'. Any object will do.Old wicker pram with a ceramic doll.....antique plate camera....just something.  Regards

Stunning, Rodney. At first glimpse I thought I preferred the first one but on second thoughts I'm not so sure.

Rodney - great work form you as usual, but #2 grabs me the most - reminds me of the 12 Apostles somehow. Maybe a little trim from the bottom and the left would yield a stronger result?
