Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

During the Sydney Bronte to Bondi Photowalk sponsored by Samsung and Google Australia, Hosted by Colby Brown and Michael Sutton we had a quality rainbow manifest off the coast whilst we were on the Bondi headland where Sculptures by the Sea lives. I changed lenses from my new Sigma 35/1.4 to the Sigma 85/1.4 and added the CPL to help bring out the rainbow. A newly married couple was on the headland to get some shots done by their photographer (not realising they'd be snapped by hundreds of photowalkers  ). When they got around to the tip of the headland for some more shots I figured I'd use them and the rainbow to good effect (their photographer wasn't using the rainbow so I figured I would) - I'm really happy how this one turned out (and yes I know I ended up cutting things very very fine with the feet - I would have preferred a touch more breathing room but ce la vie...) The Kiss  Love's First Flight  Then a friend and I set about crafting some Samsung ad's using one of their sponsored gifts from the event... The kiss is the winner by a long way. It's a beautiful shot, but unfortunately cutting off their feet virtually screws the shot. I couldn't count how many times I've done that !

Thanks Chris - note that I didn't actually cut off their feet - they are all there - it's just that theres only a pixel or two room below  D600, D7000, Nikon/Sigma/Tamron Lenses, Nikon Flashes, Sirui/Manfrotto/Benro SticksRodney - My Photo BlogWant: Fast Wide (14|20|24)

As luck would have it I had a few more frames after this - they aren't kissing anymore but I had lowered the frame to include more of the ground so I layered the images and shifted the image behind down to reveal more of the ground beneath their feet for a little more breathing room. That few cms moved it from the recycle bin to the keeper file. It's gorgeous.

They are all good , but I like the last two better. The last one could be used to advertise the camera. I like the fun-loving subject; he is quite a poser.
