Epic Day Out - BigStopper Austinmer...Sun's risen - time for some BigStopper long exposures
I was so close to the surfs edge for these shots that a few large waves came in and swamped me (not enough to get to my camera but enough so that the largest swell came up to my knees and thus saturated my jeans and boots ). With two to three minute exposures running away wasn't really an option either Questions: - pick one of the two? - leave the photographer in on the right or clone him out? Epic Day Out - BigStopper Austinmer...I prefer the tones in the second. If clone the photographer out as its not quite clear enough.

Re: Epic Day Out - BigStopper Austinmer...I prefer the composition of the first but the second works better in some ways because the tones of the sky are not as bright above the horizon.

These are absolutely beautiful, but still they are missing 1 vital element. An eye hook. Something to catch the eye before it moves on to explore the rest of the image space. Imagine something with a splash of red in the foreground...a model sailing boat with red sails or a child with a red dress or some other item...plastic flowers, red high heel shoe floating in the water...anything. Or use them as a background for a portrait. Your technique is immaculate but you need to value add to these beautiful seascapes to lift them to the next plane. PS...Sydney Life competition is now calling for entries. Go for it. Regards
