Down at the farm

Took a few days off to visit my brother on his cattle farm in the Gunnedah district. Only took the X10, but wished I had taken more gear and the tripod. It is a brilliant place for photography. Oh well, next time.

All photos handheld (obviously except for the self portrait).

Man's best friend. (The chainsaw, that is).

Ozi - the big head dog was a bit strange at first but I'm coming to like it
I don't think the self portrait works for me with that fence down the middle (although I expect you did that so the post would hold the camera) - I reckon with all that nice brown grass at the bottom it would have made a pretty nice portrait without the fence.
Is that an externally stitched pano in the last or in camera?

Oz,

In #3, I see no ugly coots, but two lots of barbed wire. :)

In camera. The more I use the little X10, the more I am impressed with it. With indoor shots using EXR mode, it is sensational in low light. I don't know what the little Japanese engineers do in their laboratories, but whatever it is, it's amazing.

ozi, the first two are quite nice, but at that size its hard to comment further, any chance of linking to high res version.

That dog is looking at your camera and thinking, "That's NOT a camera".
But I still have a serious soft spot for the X10. It just had some kind of magic that popped out at you every now and then.

The dog is the one! Though the couple by the truck
is not bad either. So that's you!

I'll see what I can do Gerry. I am seriously hampered by lack of time at the moment. Like everyone else!

The dog or the bloke? Nah, the ugly coot here is my brother and his wife. The other ugly coot is me, but that's obvious. :D
