The Epic Tree...

A rare find was this absolutely awesome tree in the grounds of the Newtown:Erskineville Anglican Church. I was on a photowalk with friends in Newtown when we went to the Camperdown Memorial Rest Park in the late afternoon just on sunset (fantastic light) and in the middle of the park lies this fantastic churchyard and this tree.

What a beautiful capture of a beautiful living thing.

Your treatment is spot on here, and the technique of using the wa lens and coming in close works a treat.

A stunning image and perfect perspective. I wouldn't mind seeing one with less work in post to compare.

I prefer the colour version as it looks to me
more natural and closer to what the eyes see.
