I was out at a 2 day off road Rally a month ago and grabbed a few images of the action. Here's one and thanks for looking.

Nice air - and the framing is very nice - how on earth did the rider get so high?

That's damn gorgeous. Fabulous as a mono. Perfect lighting and I love now the rider is naturally framed. The little weedy flower at the bottom is the icing on the cake.

Great choice for a mono conversion, not the first thing that comes to mind for motox stuff.
I think this is the kinda shot that would have real impact when printed large, however in its small presentation here I think the finer details and the rider get a bit lost in teh relative size of teh frame. The back lit thistle bush is a really nice hook point to compliment the scene.
Maybe look to go to a square frame this would accentuate the rider and that thistle bush and still maintain the majority of the dark framing (which is great).
i would be interested in seeing a warm colour version too.

Hi Rodney,
He is actually on his way down, he got that high by hitting a table top at speed.
Considering he is on a Rally bike and not an MX, good job or big big gonads. :)

Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the kind words Rooz.
It was the only thing I could do with the shot, it was a rescue of a nice composition, that worked. :)

Thanks Biggerry for the kind words. Since its not an MX I might get away with it.
Its actually a shot of the winner of the event, who rides for Honda Australia. Honda liked it so much they had an advertisement of it made for POSTERS... yep, it looks good in a larger size for sure, so credos for picking that up. I do believe its coming out in all the off road mags to push a new oil from Honda as well. Its been worked a little differently but it works. I have a mockup some where.....

Here you go.

Great shot. I saw the ad today in the current issue of AMCN, inside back cover.

Thanks Craig and thanks Matt. Does that mean I was not blowing smoke everywhere? :D
