I recently joined the Flickr FOCUS group for a Macro day - here are some from in Sydney's Royal Botanical Gardens.

Even though I would really like to, I didn't really do any extreme closeup work, still it was a fun way to spend a couple hours in the park...

NIce work there Rodney, love hte first one

First image is a competition winner Rodney. Very nice. Shooting against the light makes some subjects glow.

Cheers guys - this one backlit with my flash remote triggered - should I keep this one as colour or do you think monochrome is worth a try?

try rotating the golden orb weaver 180 degrees, looks heaps better imo.

I think it would work in colour and or B&W.

First two are good and classic shoots... would both do well in a b&w conversion... go hard contrast with the spider and softer contract with the fern.
Not so so on the other two.
