Killed ambient by shooting a fast shutter (1/125th) and with a tightly closed aperture to gain some depth of field this close (f/45) and then lit the spider from the side to highlight it's shape and the fine threads using an off camera flash with a kiss of light from the front using my LED macro ring light.
Converted to monochrome 'cause well it looked cool
