Which shot at the convent?

Greetings all in DSLR-land. Despite a hectic schedule of late, Robyn and I stayed in the little picturesque town of Morpeth last night, enroute to a week in Sydney. (BTW, anyone interested in a Sydney mini-meet sometime in July or August? I will be staying on the Central Coast for a while during winter.)

The B&B we stayed at was a converted convent, complete with amazing architecture and even better filtered light. I took a few portraits in the magnificent dining room this morning. Which of these two do you prefer? (Taken with Canon 60D and 50 F1.2)

BW all the way.

As a side note, with the tilt in the face maybe consider getting her to straighten up the face, in this instance with teh angle of the arm, the posture, it all feels, well angled, hence having her face straight would have broken this up and made for a more pleasing image imo.

How about a sunrise at avoca?

Isn't that early morning or something like that?

Actually sounds good Gerry. Let me know time/date and we'll see what we can do. Any decent coffee establishments near Avoca?

Colour seems to work best Ozi. Nice natural pose. Portraits are difficult.

Both are very worthy renditions of an great portrait, I love B&W images but in this case the colour version has the edge.
