Jethro - I like this shot - there is a lot of movement and I believe shows the game as a team event rather than just 2 characters in the shot as one normally sees.
The one thing that does amaze me is the size of the main boy compared to the boys tackling him

Jethro - I believe that you can be well chuffed with these shots - all action, sharp and very good colour.

Impressive shots Jethro, I'll be taking my d70 to my sons 1st soccer (errm Football) match this saturday. Did you use a tripod?
My fave was the one with the "green dude" carting the ball up with 3 "blue" guys attached....

i used my monopod and my 70-200VR which is just an unbelievable lens.
