I don't normally say this...but I think you got a little too close. I would have preferred to have seen the entire shearer and maybe a bit more of the shed. I think you did everything else right but were too focussed on the animal and the lovely textures in the wool...and probably the detail of the tattoo. This is one of those situations where I would have should maybe 20 images....some close in and some overviews in the hope of getting something special. Having said that...it's still a great image with lots of impact. I'm giving it 4 stars.

I did take other photos, but it was a show for tourist and
I had to remove some distracting elements.
