Houses make for good photographic subjects, at least IMHO. The Australian landscape is filled with thousands of decrepit ones, just waiting to be captured.

I really like the first image here ozi. Reminds me a lot of the house I live in...crooked! The house has a certain sadness about it which has only been helped by your tasteful b&w treatment.

Second image seems to lack a bit of contrast but has a film look about it which can work, maybe some local highlight dodging and shadow burning could help this one...

I too like the first ozi but I reckon it might have been better without the fussiness of the fence in the way

Thanks Nathan. Yes, this house reminds me of the shack we lived in on the NSW Central Coast when I was a little kid. I drove past the place a few months ago and it has been renovated.

As for the fence, I could have hopped over to take the photo, but the place looked as though a big rottie was lurking somewhere, ready to pounce and destroy any hapless photographer (or mailman) that wandered into the yard... :lol:
