From a recent family shoot

Hi guys,

I've recently found my lost mojo and been doing quite a number of family portrait shoots, which I must say I'm enjoying immensely. Have had no major camera or lens upgrades for more than 3-4 years, still loving my D700 and in this particular image, the 85mm 1.4 lens. A technique that I use with young kids (that are old enough to take direction) is saying to them "can you see my eye through the lens, have a look and see if you can see my green eye!"...they find this fun (for a limited time usually) but I'm often lucky enough to capture a shot, that I quite like, this one! :) Comments and constructive criticism welcomed. I have little time for the forum these days and do miss it! Having a child has changed my life but I am LOVING fatherhood! :)

Hi Geoff - this image looks more like it was taken with a wide lens (not an 85) - it's got that almost Alice in wonderland type look

Update: yep the EXIF data says the 24-70 @ 34mm

thats exactly what i saw aswell ! i like it.
alot more distortion than i would have expected at 35mm, i would have guessed it as 24mm if i hadn't been told.
