Trees B/W

Took this ages ago at the creek at Callala Bay. What do people think?

Tony, I like the composition, your choice of the trees (because of
their shapes), the vignette and the fact that you chose black and
white to give it a dramatic effect. I feel, however, the trunks of
the main trees could do with more detail (they look a bit out of
focus - but it could be my eyes), but despite this I quite like it.

The main trees where brushed with minus 100 clarity, it's not your eyes
I wanted the whiteness, I will revisit this.

agree with zaf's comments. i dont think the effect you;re looking for works in regard to the low clarity cos it looks out of focus imo

That image is 9/10ths of a masterpiece. The trunks lack critical sharpness and are slightly over exposed....but boy, you were on the money with your composition and post processing. Were you working from a tripod? If not, can you go back, put the camera on a tripod and have another crack at it? It's too good a subject to let go.

I couldn't put it better than Matt. I would follow his
advice and also use a the timer as well.
