Scouting for the wedding

Our youngest daughter is to be wed tomorrow. No, I am not the official photog and have hired the services of a pro friend. (I may try and sneak the XPro1 in sometime and take a few shots.) I was doing some scout work for the Sydney based photographer late this afternoon and was offered a friend's property to use for the wedding photos. This quick shot was taken through the lounge room window, XP1/35mm, in beautiful soft late afternoon light. The young lady is our eldest daughter, not the bride to be. She agreed to be the test subject for a little while.

When the light is right, the little Fuji nails it.

Both captures are very good, I particularly like first, a beautiful girl and those eyes!

Hope the wedding goes well, have fun.

The first one is very, good. The type of portraits I'd love to take myself.
I feel the second is also very good, but with room for improvement. I feel
it is a bit on the bright side and could do with just a touch of more contrast,
as I see it o my monitor.

I think you're correct Zaffs. It is a tad bright. It seems the XP1 tends to overexpose. This shot was compensated by -2/3 stop (from memory) and still is a bit bright.

I’m confused, how can a person, as indicated by their avatar, have such a beautiful daughter :D

That's what most people wonder too. Don't worry, the beauty genes are 100% from Robyn's side. My contribution to our kids' makeup is genius, intelligence, wit, brilliance, humour and, of course, humility... :biglaugh:

That was a good retort.
