Olympus has patented a technology that would allow the photographer to selectively adjust exposure of different scene areas during an exposure.

I'm not sure exactly how this will work, but eventually there will be a sensor where every pixel has its own 'electronic' shutter, and will be optimally exposed. Why not?

Thank you for sharing this article, which is very interesting. It seems the camera
is getting more and more like the human eye. Olympus is responsible lately for
very innovative camera improvements e.g. sensor cleaning.
