Botany bay, could be anything down there, a few dead bodies?

I like the way the oyster shell encrusted wooden beams add to mystique of what lies beneath. Almost spooky.

Great photo.

I don't know about dead bodies beneath, but I think there may be some ghosts at the end of the pier.

Great sky and the colour in the foreground water diminishing to the pastel tones in the mid ground is fantastic. Nicely done Gerry.

It's a beautiful image and the idea but to me it feels weird as a portrait orientation. The jarring crop of the pier is very distracting for me personally. I don't know if that's the intention or not.

Yep. I really like the treatment you have given this image, it does not feel overdone, but quite relaxing and smooth.
Rooz has a point with the orientation though, was there a reason for this?
I was to taken with the image at first to even consider technical stuff about it, I guess that means it is good.

Regarding the portrait orientation, in this scene there is a sailing club to the left and not much to the right side, which when taken in landscape (of which i did take one) i found it too cluttered. I do however take the point that the left hand side does feel jarred and cutoff..

Gerry,

Now that's what I call art. (Not that I'd know)

Thanks; masterful.

Both versions of the photo are excellent. I wonder if a portrait of the same would had worked as well.
